Epsom fire fighters tackle kitchen fire in Bookham

A woman has escaped a burning building after her breakfast caught fire.
Firefighters from Leatherhead and Epsom stations were called out to the house in Lower Shott, Bookham on Sunday February 5 at about 7am to reports a kitchen was on fire.
A woman using the cooker had left it unattended and returned to find it on fire.
Using breathing apparatus the fire fighters were able to extinguish the flames by 8am.
No one was injured.
